Monsoon Festival is just around the corner! ☀️☔️ June 24, Dickie-Moore Park, 11-7PM Join us on Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day for the return of our Monsoon Festival, a joyful celebration of the cultures, stories, and communities that make Montreal what it is today. This year, we’re taking you on a journey inspired by the elaborately decorated, music-filled transit systems of the Global South. Here’s a snapshot of our program : Performances by Grassroots artists Local food and artisanal vendors A sustainable fashion show and tie dying workshop A closing parade and sunset party after 7pm The full program will be released on our website. We are currently looking for food vendors and volunteers to be part of the festival - sign up now! Altermode célèbre ! Altermode Celebrates ! Nous avons déjà réparé et modifié plus de 250 articles ! Le collectif Altermode et nos talentueuses tanties de Parc-Extension ont tenu des événements mensuels à notre centre de St-André pour réparer, modifier, échanger des vêtements autour de musique et de bonne nourriture! Durant le festival Monsoon, nous offrirons nos premiers produits surcyclés faits par nos couturières talentueuses de résidus de production! The Altermode collective and skilled Parc-Extension aunties have been hosting monthly events at our new community centre on St-André to mend, patch, swap and revamp clothing, alongside great food and music! During the Monsoon Festival, we will be offering our first upcycled products made of post production silks and cottons by our talented seamstresses!
