Ten years in, Brique par Brique has accomplished a whole lot, but real talk: ambition can get heavy. We're often so busy helping others build their projects that—like a mechanic who never fixes her own car—we find ourselves struggling to keep our baby purring like a vintage Jaguar.
Money can build housing, purchase buildings and create organizational scaffolding. But it cannot manufacture the human energy that makes transformation possible. That requires a critical mass of people willing to align their everyday choices with the world they hope is possible.
So, after a summer of trying to slow down, we're taking stock. If you have built something ambitious, failed, learned and continued—in community organizing, business, programming, administration or finance—we would love to hear from you. Perhaps our next chapter begins with learning more openly from one another.
